Not Here...
Yes, it has been that busy that I haven't had the time to post. Here is a quick list of some of the things that have happened in the past 2-3 months:
Shachaamah (my daughter) won the Little Mo' Tennis local and regionals (took place in Florida and Atlanta respectively) and is now the top 8 year old for this competition. We are now getting ready to head to Texas in October for the nationals.
I am the Event Coordinator at Michael's Arts & Crafts - and I will HAVE to fill you in on the juicy gossip and wonders of that place. I absolutely enjoy planning and organizing, so this job is great for me. I just never knew so many unhappy people existed in one place.
We are making improvements on our house.
My husband understands his niche in life and is finding his groove! Yay!
Here in Florida we have not had a direct scare or threat of our living being under water. I don't want to say this too loudly as the hurricane season is not over yet and does not end until November. Shhh...
I will soon be the owner of an apartment building or 2. I've always wanted to do this.
I may be the Editor of a newspaper called Tampa Bay Woman.
I learned how to knit entrelac and am making an afghan for myself.
I joined the online Yahoo! group, EZasPi.
I've knitted 2 bears for children in Africa.
I am currently in the middle of a mound of paperwork for a non-profit designed to aid single moms.
Okay, now its your turn. What have you been up to? Don't be a lurker, post and share.

Hey hey!
I'm glad your back! I sure understand busy-ness. I'm actually looking forward to posting this weekend.
Great news for Shach! Our kids can do amazing things with parental support.
See, you are coming into your own, despite the TV media; it's not everything, especially for us. Ultimately, it's your own personal power that helps you reach your goals.
There are a LOT of unhappy people out there. The USA ranks 16th, in studies of personal satisfaction and happiness, in the world. It's a shame, as we don't spend enough time in reflecting on the good in our lives, wasting it all on comparison.
Remember to take time out for yourself! You can't give what you lack.
Good luck, and continued success; and you KNOW you have a standing invitation to next year's Knitta'-Que!

congrats to your baby girl!!! watch out venus and serena! :-D
congrats on the new job. it's always fantastic to get hired on for something that you love. ;-) that newspaper sounds fantastic...definitely sending good vibes that way.
looks like the fam is definitely working as a positive unite, which is always wonderful.
that non-profit sounds wonderful and kinda similar to the non-profit that i donate time and knitted projects to.
as for me, it's been nothing but job hunting, lucking upon a yarn sales rep position, and knitting, knitting, knitting until the school year and work starts again!

Clearly, you've been busy the past 3 months and you have accomplished a lot! Hugs and hand claps for you :-)
I started a blog, survived a summer session of grad school, took a vacation w/my family and have moved closer to getting one of my entrepreneurial projects off the ground. On the knitting front, I've added some lovely fiber to the stash, started some projects (just for me), worked on a few UFOs and got in at Ravelry.com.

Welcome Back Busy Bee!!! - Congratulations to your daughter, and also the U.S. Open 2007 starts this weekend and the Williams Sisters will honour the late Althea Gibson… Can I say you have a lil Althea Gibson on your hands. I’m so looking forward to all the juicy gossip and wonders of Michaels. Glad to hear about all your new ventures and wishing you the best. Well for me I learned to knit and have been going full steam ahead as well as sewing.

How could I possibly top that list of accomplishments? You are on fire!
Me? I had my car detailed. We got a kitten.
That's pretty much it. :-)
(Actually, our second child left for college yesterday; but that feels more like a loss than an accomplishment at the moment.)
